About Local-IX
Local-IX is a pay-per-call platform. When an appliance breaks, a homeowner calls one number, enters a ZIP code, and is connected live to a local repair business that covers that ZIP and is open right now. The business pays for the call. That is the whole product.
What we do
We run the phone line, the call routing, the advertiser dashboard and the billing. We do not repair anything ourselves.
The businesses that answer are independent local companies. They tell us which ZIP codes they serve and when they are open; we send them the calls that match. Price, scheduling and the work itself are agreed between the homeowner and the business.
How we work
Four rules that hold for every business on the network. The same rules are written into our terms.
You choose where and when
Calls are routed only for the ZIP codes you serve, during the hours you set, up to the daily call limit you set. Pause any time.
You pay per call, nothing else
Load prepaid credit from $500. There is no subscription and no contract. Each campaign has a per-call price you choose, starting at $35.
Every call is recorded and listed
Your dashboard shows each call with the caller’s number, duration, charge and a recording you can play back.
A bad call can be sent back
Wrong number, spam or not a service request? Flag it within 7 days. We review it and credit your account where warranted.
Who runs Local-IX
Local-IX is operated by Appliance Service Network LLC, a United States company based in Belmont, MA. We started with appliance repair because it is the call nobody wants to wait on: the fridge is warm, the washer is full, and the homeowner needs someone today.
